Lanzarote Travel Information

Most people arrive in Lanzarote by Air at Arrecife (ACE) Airport. This airport is also locally known as Guacimeta.
The Airport is located between Arrecife (the Capital) and Puerto del Carmen.

The Taxi fare from the Airport to Puerto del Carmen is roughly 15 Euros, from the Airport to Costa Teguise is 20 Euros and from the Airport to Playa Blanca is about 40 Euros.

Journey times from the Airport to the main resorts are (approx); Puerto del Carmen: 20 mins; Costa Teguise : 15 mins; Playa Blanca : 45 mins.

Many Local Travel Agents in Lanzarote offer last minute bargains and flight-only returns from the UK and Ireland.

It is also possible to fly to one of the other Canary Islands and then get a Ferry or Flight to Lanzarote, however it is very easy to become stranded on one of the other islands overnight!

You can also travel to Lanzarote from mainland Spain by Boat. There is a weekly ferry that leaves Cadiz in southern Spain on Saturday and arrives in Arrecife the following Wednesday.
